Perennial Fennel is a tall, elegant herb that brings beauty, fragrance, and culinary versatility to the garden. Its fine, feathery foliage emits a sweet anise aroma, making it suitable for ornamental beds, herb gardens, and naturalized areas alike. Young stems and leaves can be eaten fresh in salads, while the flowers and seeds are also edible and used in cooking or herbal teas. Highly valued by pollinators, it is an excellent useful and decorative addition.

Where to Grow Perennial Fennel?
It thrives in zones 5 to 9, in full sun and well-drained soil. Once established, it tolerates drought well and adapts to flower beds, perennial borders, and herb gardens.

History and Traditional Uses
Native to the Mediterranean region, fennel has been used since ancient times for its culinary and medicinal properties. In ancient Greece and Rome, it symbolized courage and strength and was widely used to aid digestion. It later became a staple in European herb gardens, used to flavor dishes and prepare natural remedies.
