Usnea Barbata (Old Man's Beard)
What is Usnea Barbata?
Usnea Barbata, also known as "old man's beard," is a wild lichen sustainably harvested from preserved local forests. Traditionally valued for its botanical and soothing properties, it holds an important place in natural wellness practices.
This Usnea is hand-harvested by Sarah in the magnificent forests of the Kootenay region, with deep respect for nature and the surrounding ecosystems. Only naturally fallen branches and wood on the ground are collected — never living trees — to preserve the balance of the forests and ensure ethical and sustainable harvesting.
Harvested in small batches just weeks or days before shipping, this Usnea Barbata is renowned for its exceptional freshness, natural potency, and beautiful seafoam blue-green hue.
